SARA TRAMMELL, MD

Abilene Beauty Bus

Program: Confidence to Scale → POP Leadership Academy

Revenue: $1.2M → $2.2M

Team Size: 3 → 7 across 2 locations

The Shift: Physician doing everything → Confident CEO with infrastructure

The Challenge

  • Growth outpacing systems and structure

  • Heavy dependence on Sara as both provider and operator

  • Team members split across locations, creating communication gaps

  • Hesitation to hire additional staff despite increasing demand

  • Desire to increase revenue per procedure without relying on discounts

Confident Hiring & Team Development

With growing demand, Sara needed more support, but hiring felt overwhelming. KLC walked her through the process of evaluating roles, writing job descriptions, and interviewing candidates. That guidance gave her the confidence to bring on key employees, expanding from a team of three to seven.

Solutions

Sara partnered with KLC to design a business model and growth strategy that fit her vision. Rather than relying on discounting or ad-hoc decisions, she learned how to structure services, streamline operations, and set revenue targets anchored in long-term stability.

Sophisticated Marketing & Offers

Sara refined her services and added higher-value procedures. KLC helped her identify profitable client segments, develop a VIP membership program, and market new offerings with clarity. This positioned Abilene Beauty Bus as a preeminent leader in the local market.

Scaling Through Assets, Not Hustle

By installing systems, written processes, and clear communication channels, Sara shifted away from the constant hustle of day-to-day management. Her practice now runs with infrastructure that supports growth.

What happens when a physician builds a business from the ground up?

Dr. Sara Trammell had mastered patient care. With years as a family physician and hands-on experience in medical aesthetics, she could deliver flawless results and connect deeply with her clients. But when it came to leading a business? That was uncharted territory.

“I wasn’t really spending enough time making long-term plans or evaluating why we were doing things,” Sara says. “Kaeli always comes back to the question of why? and that accountability has shifted how I run my practice.”

After launching the Abilene Beauty Bus as a mobile service, demand quickly outpaced Sara’s capacity. She opened a brick-and-mortar location, added staff, and continued to grow — but the pace was unsustainable. Without systems and structure, the very success she’d worked for was creating overwhelm.

When an industry colleague introduced her to KLC Consulting, Sara saw what was missing: a partner who understood the aesthetics industry and could help her transition from hands-on provider to confident CEO. She joined Confidence to Scale and later the POP Aesthetic Leadership Academy, where she built the infrastructure her practice needed to grow.

“Having not gone to business school or learned marketing in medical school, I have really benefited from Kaeli’s knowledge,” Sara says. “To work with somebody who has been in the industry in a variety of different ways has given me so much insight and guidance.”
